It has been so long friends. My heart is emotional at the gift of being able to share my heart and passions again. It’s the right time because my own heart is in need of healing as a Christian in this world as much as anyone else. God intended us to know this healing together, as His people.
The last few years were so hard for all of us. There was so much isolation and so much pain and we have each been on a journey to know God’s grace and healing through this time. The incredible blessing is that the healing is there for those who seek it and follow His word.
What I’ve realized most is that the ‘evil one’ wanted to take a virus and use it to divide us. The devil will use anything to divide God’s people. I am praying what births from this time is an enlightened understanding that sickness isn’t shameful. Sickness is inherent to this fallen world. If the Bible shows us anything it is that. We are not meant to fear one another. We are meant to be encouraging of one another as we seek to grow well in body, mind and spirit. What we need is a return to knowing that a virus or sickness isn’t something we should persecute others for but rather a time to find rest, restore, and seek God’s healing. There should be no shame in sickness and it’s tragic that the world tried to perpetrate such a mindset upon people.
My mission and goal is that we realize we grow stronger and healthier together, not apart. If we want to defeat evil, as much as possible, on planet earth, it takes people aligning in the love of neighbor as self, not destroying or judging one another. We are all in need of support, prayers, encouragement and strength to travel this path we call life.
I’m excited about the many new offerings that will be unfolding in the time ahead and I’m so blessed to be part of a community, where I live, that has a deep love for God and Christ. I’m joining forces with an incredible soul, Stephanie, who is a mother, yogini, and wellness coach.
She recently gave me one of the most healing and therapeutic massages I have ever received where she performed a Chinese technique called Gua Sha. It was truly life-changing to have her help and I’m so grateful for the healers in this world. Stephanie will be offering wellness coaching along with me. Stay tuned for more details…
As I write my first blog post after many years away, I can feel the healing power of the Holy Spirit moving through me. It’s not easy to get ‘back in the saddle’ in life sometimes but when the Holy Spirit is moving you, you have no choice. It becomes as essential as breathing to share one’s heart and passion.
For the last two years I have been deepening my faith in Christ. I have listened to a podcast for quite some time where I’ve heard scripture from the Bible every day. This scripture has helped me tremendously to know the love and protection of the Holy Spirit.
It’s perfect that I opened the Bible to write my first blog post back. For a long time, I have wanted to deepen my study of scripture on my own and I realize this blog will be the vehicle to support me in doing that. I heard, not long ago, that when we open the Bible we feel something powerful in our soul. I can attest to that in doing so just now as I sat down to write.
The first book I will be studying is the book of Peter. As you know, I named the new Yoga I am offering through Livekick Petra Flow Yoga. The word Petra is a feminine word that means Peter and is translated to stone/rock. Christ is the rock. Scripture and the Holy Spirit are the sword of the Spirit. Jesus taught LOVE. In fact, it is said that the vibration of Christ is the highest vibration of love on planet earth. This love is called agape love. I found an amazing article about agape love to share here.
Peter speaks of this love in 1 Peter.
A Living Stone and a Holy People
2 jSo put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander.
Suffering for Righteousness’ Sake
8 Finally, all of you, uhave unity of mind, sympathy, vbrotherly love, wa tender heart, and xa humble mind. 9 yDo not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, zbless, for ato this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. 10 For b“Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; 11 let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
Stewards of God’s Grace
7 nThe end of all things is at hand; therefore obe self-controlled and sober-minded pfor the sake of your prayers. 8 Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since qlove covers a multitude of sins. 9 rShow hospitality to one another without grumbling.
True Yoga is a practice focused on right living. Many people mistake Yoga as exercise. Yoga is a discipline that helps us to align with God’s will for our life. God’s will is that we live in balance and harmony through cultivating balance and harmony within. This requires us to make ongoing healthy choices and commitments for our life, as Peter spoke about.
I am so grateful I get to be part of a community to help all of us do just that.
God’s love to all and I am looking forward to all that’s to come, in Jesus’ name.
Peace and amen
